Homeowner Application
Rebuilding Together Portland is a volunteer-based, home repair organization that brings volunteers, materials, financial resources, and logistical expertise together to serve low-income homeowners who can no longer financially and/or physically make home repairs themselves by enabling them to live in a safe, secure, and independent environment. Our clients are adults over 65, disabled, families with children, and veterans throughout Portland, OR. The majority of homeowners we serve are below 50% of area family income, are above 65 years old, have a disability, and have lived in their homes for many years.
We strive to contact eligible applicants within 5 business days of receipt of their completed application.
Eligibility requirements:
Applicant must own and live in the property where repair work is needed.
Applicant is financially and/or physically unable to complete the repairs.
Applicant must be able to verify low income.
Mortgage is current or paid off. Applicant is not at risk of losing home due to foreclosure or default.
The property is in Portland, OR.
Applicant intends to age in the home.
Repairs are critical safety and/or livability repairs.
Rebuilding Together Portland cannot work on homes that are:
Rental properties
Houses that are subject to foreclosure actions or to actions to enforce liens.
Household income above 80% Median Family Income.
Recent purchases requiring repairs.

Homeowner waiver: We are required to share client information with the City of Portland and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. With your permission, we will also make this information visible to our partner agencies serving clients in Portland.
